It would not work with my IPhone4. I had the 7.1 software. My son was very disappointed

Its OK but its always recording every thing I do when trying to program my robot please fix this I want to turn off the recording feature please change this!!!!!!!

Well, this was more frustrating than it needed to be. We had a devil of a time getting it to connect via Bluetooth, until I happened upon help (inside the app) which had a link to a 30 second video. Why couldnt they just have it connect through the iOS Bluetooth like all other devices? smh After that, things went pretty well EXCEPT the Motion Capture function... doesnt. As in, it doesnt function. You can tap on it all day, nothing happens. The Ragdoll avatar works well, however. Hopefully, this app will be updated to include the Motion Capture function (and maybe some more directions...)

WARNING: This app does not use iPhones Bluetooth settings. You connect from within the app itself by pressing the "Scan" button. And if it still doesnt connect, you might need to update Meccanoids brain software like I had to. And thats a royal pain because you need to do that with a computer by first downloading and installing the "brain update" program on your computer! Meccannos phone support took two unanswered calls and then one FORTY MINUTE CALL to get it all working. The app is all about storing data that will move Meccanoid around. It has 3 parts: 1. 3D virtual Meccanoid that you move around with your finger. 2. Moving each joint with a virtual wheel. And you get to turn all the leds on and off. You can also select their colors. 3. Mirror mode that uses your phone to watch you so that Meccanoid mimics you while recording it. Mirror mode was the most fun, but it was difficult to use. I had to be about 6 feet away and I could not see my tiny iPhone 5 too well from that distance. Also Meccanoid tended to crash his arms into himself constantly. Also there was s lot of jitter. The commercial cheated. It does not work that well.

App will not connect to Meccanoid via Bluetooth. Have tried with multiple iOS devices (Bluetooth turned on) but app just scans endlessly without recognizing Meccanoid.

Wow we pay money for this toy high expectations as always thanks for disappointing. You would think they would have a simple thing like the only thing that makes the stupid app useful like being able to connect to Bluetooth disgraceful.

Will not connect to my iPad 2 or iPhone 4 but if u look on there website it tells you that it needs to be newer then these devices which dont help me

This app works like to move it but when i try to make it mimic my moves it just exits the app automatocally i dont know why.And it connects perfectly just maybe you dont know how to do it.So you press scan then the name of the robot will pop up on the top of the screen then press that then press connect then the robot will say bluetooth detected the it will say press blue for no and yellow for yes

No issues here. Only a clunky issue when finding the robot, where you have to tap the name of the robot when it is searching. It isnt terribly obvious. We tried the rag doll mode and the mimic mode, even the slide bar one.

First off, connecting is confusing all by itself. But, Ive tried every iPad and all iPhones in our house (4S, 5s, 5c) and none can connect. They need to figure this out for sure.

Ive tried connecting from my iPhone & iPad to no avail.

Works great and the modes make it a lot more fun. I did leave it scanning forever without connection but on the top of the app you need to click the name on top and than click connects after that, perfect. There is also a video on how to connect with the app, look at it as well.

I love the Meccanoid G15 Ks, it is a great robot to easily build and program. Though the app works, the Motion Capture feature crashes the application entirely when opened. I hope this will be resolved soon :)

After I figured out how to connect to Bluetooth then everything was working fine, until I tried to turn on motion capture. When motion capture tried to start the app shuts down and Bluetooth disconnects. iPhone 4s version 9.1 is my version to new? Any help is appreciated.

Had no issues connecting via bt. Everything worked as expected.

Doesn’t connect to our ipad2, LG smartphone, samsung smartphone, or 2 kindle fires. but if you are reading this, you’ve already spent 3 days building the thing and it is probably too late for you too.
